Helping your parent stay safe, steady, and independent — right at home.
I'm a licensed occupational therapist who comes to your family. No waiting rooms, no rushing — just practical, one-on-one care in the place that matters most.
“I bring therapy to your parent's kitchen table — where their real life happens.”
Elizabeth Broughton · Owner & Occupational TherapistOccupational therapy can cut an older adult's fall risk by more than half.
Practical care for the moments that make home feel hard.
Every visit is built around your parent's real day — their home, their routine, the things they want to keep doing on their own.
Fall prevention & home safety
A room-by-room look at the home, plus simple changes and balance training that keep falls from happening in the first place.
Recovery after surgery or stroke
Coming home from the hospital is a fragile moment. I help rebuild strength and confidence for everyday tasks, safely.
Aging in place
Small adjustments — grab bars, lighting, easier reach — so your parent can stay in the home they love for longer.
Memory & dementia support
Gentle routines and safe-home strategies that lower stress for your parent and give the whole family more calm.
Everyday living skills
Dressing, bathing, cooking, getting in and out of bed — regaining the daily tasks that independence is built from.
Caregiver coaching
Hands-on guidance for you — safe ways to help, what to watch for, and how to care for them without wearing yourself out.
This is for your family if…
- Your parent had a fall — or you're worried the next one is coming.
- They're heading home after a surgery, stroke, or hospital stay.
- Everyday tasks — bathing, dressing, cooking — are getting harder.
- A memory diagnosis has made home feel unsafe or overwhelming.
- You want them to stay home — and you need a plan to make it work.
Not sure where to start?
Most families call unsure of exactly what they need — that's completely normal. We'll talk it through on a free call, and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
Start with a free call
“Dogwood blooms every spring, no matter how hard the winter was. That's what I want for the families I work with.”

A free phone call
Tell me what's going on. I'll listen, answer your questions, and we'll decide together if a visit makes sense.
A home visit & personal plan
I come to your parent, see their home and their day first-hand, and build a plan around their real goals.
Therapy that fits their life
We work together at a pace that feels right — with you kept in the loop every step of the way.
Hi, I'm Elizabeth.
I founded Dogwood Rehab because older adults deserve care that comes to them — patient, personal, and rooted in the life they've built. As an occupational therapist specializing in gerontology, I've spent my career helping people do the everyday things that keep them feeling like themselves.
When you work with me, you get me — not a rotating team. I get to know your parent, your home, and your family, and I treat their independence like it's my own family's.
The things families ask first.
Do you take Medicare or insurance?+
Many in-home OT services are covered under Medicare Part B. I'll walk you through exactly what applies to your parent before we begin — no surprises.
What areas do you serve?+
I visit families in Willow Spring and across South Wake County, North Carolina. Not sure if you're in range? Just call and ask.
Do we need a doctor's referral?+
Sometimes yes, sometimes no — it depends on your parent's situation and coverage. Mention it on our first call and I'll sort out the details for you.
What happens on the first visit?+
We talk, I watch how your parent moves through their day at home, and we set goals together. You'll leave the first visit with a clear, practical plan.
How long does therapy last?+
Every person is different. Some families need a few focused visits; others benefit from ongoing support. We'll only continue as long as it's helping.
Can family be involved?+
Absolutely — I encourage it. The more the people around your parent understand the plan, the safer and stronger the results.
Let's help your parent stay home — safely.
One free call is all it takes to get started. Tell me what's happening, and I'll tell you honestly how I can help.
